【摘要】:Activityasmeasuredbythistestmethodisbasicallyameasureoftheporevolumeoftheactivatedcarbonsample.Thistestmethodisthereforeameansofdeterminingthedegreeofcompletionoftheactivationprocess,henceausefulmeansofqualitycontrolforgas-phaseactivatedcarbons.Thisactivitynumberdoesnotnecessarilyprovideanabsoluteorrelativemeasureoftheeffectivenessofthetestedcarbononotheradsorbates,oratotherconditionsofoperation.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheactivationlevelofactivatedcarbon.Carbontetrachloride(CCl4)activityisdefinedhereinastheratio(inpercent)oftheweightofCCl4adsorbedbyanactivatedcarbonsampletotheweightofthesample,whenthecarbonissaturatedwithCCl4underconditionslistedinthistestmethod.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection7.
