【摘要】:Thesemethodsaretobeusedasabasisforcomparisonofabsorbentsinaconsistentmanner.ThesetestsarenotappropriateforadsorbentmaterialswhicharecoveredinTestMethodF726.Thesemethodsarenotusefulforacomparisonofabsorbentswithadsorbents,eventhoughallabsorbentsexhibitadsorbentproperties.Bothtypesofmaterialshaveprimeareasofutility.Thesemethodsmaynotlistallthesafetyanddisposaloptionsnecessaryforsafeultimatedisposalofusedsorbentmaterialintotheenvironment.Federal,state,andlocalregulatoryrulesmustbefollowed.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedevelopmentoflaboratorytestdatawhichdescribetheperformanceofabsorbentmaterialsusedtoremoveoilsandothercompatiblefluidsfromwater.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.(Foraspecificwarningstatementsee10.4.)
