【摘要】:Sincealllimesandwasteacidsolutionsaredifferent,thistestmethodevaluatestherelativequantityofagivenlimeneededfortheneutralizationofaspecificquantityofacid.Limingmaterialshaveaspecificbasicityfactorormeasureofalkalinitywhichcanbeusedforcomparingtheirrelativeneutralizingpower.Itavoidsdependenceonchemicalanalysisandisdeterminedasgramsofcalciumoxideequivalentsperkilogramoflimingmaterial.Likewise,specificwasteacidshaveanacidvaluethatcanbeexpressedasgramsofhydrochloricacidequivalentperlitreofacidwaste.Thisvalueisrelatedonastoichiometricbasistolimeneutralizationrequirementsofaliquidacidwaste.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthetestingofquicklimeandhydratedlimeforuseinthetreatmentofwasteacidsolutionsandincludesthecharacterizationofthelimingmaterialandoftheacidwaste.Note1Whenagreeduponbythemanufacturerandthepurchaser,thismethodmaybeuseddirectlytoevaluatethelimerequirementforaplantwasteacidandinthepreparationofthelimeslurry;thepH,thetime,temperature,andotherconditionsoftreatmentmaybeadjustedtoconformtoplantpractice.Otherwisethetestshallbeperformedasdescribedinthismethod.Note2Undersomeconditionsoftestthelimerequirementmayvarysubstantiallyfromthatindicatedbyultimatechemicalanalysisorbytheuseofadeterminationofavailablealkalinitybytitrationtoastoichiometricendpoint.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
